On a beautiful November late afternoon, I met Emily and Colin in Newburyport, MA for their engagement session.
Colin and Emily's story began in 2010 when they both attended a friend's wedding in Salem, MA. They started talking and realized that Emily was going to be moving 2 blocks from where Colin was living in Philadelphia. He was there while he was in business school and she was moving to start her pediatrics residency. They danced all that night and have been together ever since.
They enjoyed one year together in Philadelphia, and then Colin moved to Los Angeles for a year and then to New York, where he still lives. Emily has another year left in Philadelphia, and then she will join Colin in New York. They have gotten to know Amtrak well! Colin proposed to Emily in August 2014 on the shore of Lake George in upstate New York.
We started out at Maudslay State Park. The day was brisk, but Colin and Emily were willing to brave the cold. I'm so glad they did because the afternoon sunshine was just perfect for their engagement session! After the park, we headed into town where Emily and Colin changed into something a little dressier, which added to the ambiance of having the city of Newburyport as the backdrop.
Emily and Colin, thank you for a wonderful time! I can't wait for your wedding at Wentworth by the Sea this summer!
